About the evidence review
The Nest will build on the work that is already being done in Australia to improve wellbeing for children and young people. It will bring together indicators and evidence for health and wellbeing outcomes, and will offer a resource of evidence-based investments to help NGOs, business, researchers, governments and communities decide on and measure the actions most likely to shape the best possible future for young Australians.
What is being done?
We are working with KPMG to deliver a comprehensive evidence review, including indicators, baseline and trend analyses, and a literature review. We are using a results-based accountability (TM) framework to define population outcomes, and to bring together the evidence and the findings of the consultation in a clear and focussed action plan.
The review is being overseen by an expert reference group made up of leading academics in the health and wellbeing of children and young people.
The evidence review
The evidence review was undertaken in the first half of 2012. The evidence review was delivered in November 2012.
