Building The Nest
Welcome to The Nest blog! You'll find all the latest news about The Nest project here. It's also a place where you can take part in a conversation about what works to improve the health, wellbeing and life opportunities of young Australians. Please feel free to leave comments, ask questions, and share your thoughts here.
If you haven't already checked it out, take a look at The Nest survey. It only takes five to ten minutes, and your views will be includedas part of a national consultation. You can also join our facebook page or follow us on twitter.
Over the next six months or so The Nest will identify and collect evidence and real-life stories of what does and doesn’t work to improve outcomes for children and young people in Australia.
The evidence review and consultation will be used to develop a national plan for coordinated action later this year. As we go, we'll be posting findings and thought-starters on this blog.
We’re really pleased to have the support of many partners and friends in building The Nest. Over the last week we have been conducting briefings with potential consultation partners across the country, and it’s been pleasing to get such a positive, can-do response. We look forward to working with these and many others over the next few months, as this will allow The Nest to include the views of all sorts of people from all over the country.
The Nest is for everyone – it’s not about any one group or person telling us what to do. It’s all of us, as a collective, as a community, as a country, coming together to consider what needs to be done to advance the wellbeing of children and young people. That’s why we are inviting people to have their say and shape The Nest, whether that’s by taking part in our short survey or working with our consultation partners to undertake activities across the country.
We look forward to hearing from you!
