    The Summit and Beyond...

The Nest youth ambassador, Lia Ursich, shares her thoughts on The Nest and the recent phase 1 summit in Melbourne. For Lia, strategies for change need to place children and young people at the centre so that organisations and services can best understand their needs

    The Nest Summit announced

The Nest National Summit will be held on 23 November in Melbourne, by invitation. The Summit will focus on: What do children and young people say is important to their wellbeing? What will be the big “game changers” to improve child and youth wellbeing over the next 10-20 years? How can we collaborate to progress priorities and implement these game changers?

Working with Sarah on The Nest

The Nest provides a chance for all young people regardless of their age, background or ability to share their views on what affects young people in Australia. It is amazing to see the how allowing young people to have their voice heard creates a sense of self-pride and empowerment.

    Overview

The Nest is an independent project to improve the health, wellbeing and life opportunities of all young Australians. Find out more about the project on this site and have your say to help make Australia the best place it can be for children and young people.

The Nest will focus Australia’s efforts on a national plan for coordinated action. It will highlight the best evidence to show what works, and invite children, young people and the community to join in a conversation about their hopes and aspirations.
